MYSTERY #3 Microsoft crazy facts This is something pretty cool and neat...and unbelievable. .. Microsoft, the whole Team, including Bill Gates, still unable to answer why this happens! It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself... Open Microsoft Word and type =rand (200, 99) And then press ENTER Enjoy the Mysterious Microsoft Windows!
Yes they can because they built it to be this way. Its not a bug and it was done for a reason. So is the other "mystery"
Never knew this stuff. Only tried the first two, since I dont have MS word, but what does the third one do?
I still dont know about the third mystery.. coz i dont have MS Word.. someone use it and tell here about it!
rand (x,y) it's a function in word that generates content automatically. But just one sentence as many times as specified in the parameters.
Thats some pretty cool stuff, but I saw this stuff before on another forum. Still really cool though!
Pretty cool. I think the rand was probably snuck in by a coder without their superior knowing about it. For those without word, it types the sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." Filling 200 plus pages with the phrase (Is that phrase used in a typing speed test?) easter eggs are cool, but how much bloat do they add? There used to be an "easter egg" in excel 97 (I think it was 97) If you did 3 special steps in the spreadsheet it would open a video game. In the game you were flying over a planet. The only thing I could ever find on the planet was a monolith, with rolling credits for the creation of excel, along with some funny wording. I just found a link to a bunch of easter eggs in excel http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/eastereg.htm
