Yahoo search much improved

I've noticed lately that Yahoo's search has very much improved. I've actually switched from Google. Their other tools, such as their mapping seem to be first rate now as well.

    What do you guys think?

IMO google still does better overall. However i like the fact yahoo gives younger sites more weighting than google would and sometimes i can find an obscure site for my obscure search. Google still first choice for me though.

I honestly can't say one is better than the other. The results are different, yet to me are equally valid.

    Yeah you should use both.

Google seems the target of SEO audiences but you can't forget Yahoo and MSN. And actually Google is #3 according to Alexa's rank. Yahoo is #1; MSN is #2 so I think we should at least consider them as well. :)

Because Alexa is calculating all the subdomains of Yahoo! and MSN. Google is a kid comparing the number of subdomains or services Yahoo! or MSN provide.

Traffic to my sites is overwhelmingly google. I hope yahoo or someone else starts making progress competitively - but for now, google is king.

You post almost sounds like an ad, Google Rules. It takes a long while for yahoo to "approve" your keywords to fully have your account set up and on an on.:D

I'm reminded of that commercial: Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. The fact remains that pound for pound Google is far more worth its weight in Gold at least for now.:D

I think Yahoo gives higher rankings to commercial-type sites, whereas Google favors information sites. That's what I've noticed.
