Help with Wordpress

    Well I'm newbie to Wordpress and Blogging , just tried starting a Blog.. i installed the Wordpress but whenever i try adding categories it doesn't displays the categories i add rather than default ones.. How can i fix this issue? any help would be appreciated.

    The categories normally do not display unless you have one post in the cat. To test and see if that is the problem, just write test in the title and the body of a new post, then go back and refresh your page.

    If you see the cat associated with the post, then that is how it works.

    If you don't then maybe there is another problem BUT usually this is the issue.

    You need to make a post in the Category for it to show up.
