My site is less than a month old, have only one page (out of the overall 12) listed in Google and still ranks number one???
I really don't get it, what about sandbox etc..?

You can see it here: http://www.google.com/search?q=paid+autosurf - 1st rank

    and here: http://www.google.com/search?q=autosurf - 7th rank

The keywords may not be very competitive, but still they produce nice traffic, and have overture of around 5K.
I did some SEO work, but still I didn't expect to get the first rank so fast LOL

    Basicly, what I did is

    0. Content, of course :)
    1. Published 2 articles through up to 5 big article sites
    2. Exchanged some links with other similar sites (not much, only up to 5 links)
    3. Submitted the site to directories (as for now, only 10-20 directories listed it.
    4. Participated in forums related to the site's content.

    And that's it, so far.

Do you think the ranks will stay that way, or it's just a temporary luck?

Your keyword looks like it has almost no competition. Seems like a couple of links would do the trick looking at other sites that rank for the keyword.

Sorry nothing intelligent to add except clicking on that google link had me nicely confused for a second, almost looked like someone flipped my monitor upside down :)

    What do you mean?

The competition is not high , but still half a million sites, some of them with PR3-PR4

    Don't get too excited.

Just a matter of time, days if not hours, before you get the good ole sandbox!!!

    Hi

May be you might have got the fresh site bonus when you launch a new site and its gets newly indexed in Google.

If its sandboxed you will not see your site for atleast another 90 days in the top SERPS and it will be somewhere 100 to 200 in the rank.

Even i launched a website which was similar to yours without much competition and unique content http://www.whoinventedmotorcycle.net and for two weeks it ranked as high as 3 and now i believe it has gone sandbox. So something like that may be in the works.

But anyway hope you are not going into sandbox and be happy that google made you happy.

    Thanks for useful info.
Well I launched the site about a month ago and since then it was climbing up and up in the rankings. I've been updating it every day or two also.
When do you say it should be sandboxed?

I think what happens is a new site will get crawled and ranked right away. Sometimes you can rank very well. Then Google picks up on the age of the site and the sandbox claims the new site for the next 6 - 12 months.

I heard from several search engine experts that the sandbox of the site can never happen if the site is regularly updated every day which actually pushes the last update time of the site for the sandbox to happen.

Sandbox dampen filter lasts from mostly ninety days upto 9 months. If ever you drop dont worry do the following which will rake you up once you are out of the sandbox

    Increase unique content
Increase Natural linking (avoid link similarity)
Do Deep linking of you website not just your homepage
    And Finally
    Wait Patiently

to a search engine content is content. how does it know if it is unique or not.
natural linking. ---clarify please. i don't understand.
Deep linking --- i have lot of catergories, that should help in crawling my site right.

from what i have heard a site gets sandboxed, if it pops up one day and next day it has tons of content. thats how spammers work. create a new site and move all the content from there other site to a new one.
so i'm going to assume, to post 1-2 posts per day, and slowly build u ur blog.

I think, by natural links he means when people like your site's content and link to it (a non-reciprocal links..)

Also what you say about sandbox sounds very fair

I dont think there is anyway to avoid the sandbox. Just put on your shorts and get your shovel and get ready to build some castles.

Its nice but not fantastic, i usually see my sites getlisted within 32 hours.

Regarding the sandbox, you'll notice that later, in the beginning there good to you but then later after a month or so they crush you and sandbox you.

    Good luck

They have ways to find duplicate content and burn you with a big fat penalty.
