Have you ever noticed on some pages that if a picture is a certain way, it will overlap the the text on a ad, "Ads by google". I was wondering if this was against the rules.

Yes it is. If you put picture to close even without covering ads by google they can ban site. Covering the ads by google will get you banned for sure.

Wait wait, what if it's a picture from your design. Like maybe a boarder or something like that, not like a supermodel blocking your ads by google.

If the picture can, in any way, be deemed to be a part of or associated with the advert then it's against the TOS.

Don't do anything that jeopardises your AdSense account because they're very hard to get reinstated.

If in doubt drop the AdSense team an email. They're very helpful.

    Good luck,

    Cheers, p.

No I ain't doing anything just to let you guys know. It's just I've seen this being done on many webpages, whether intentional or not I don't know.
But the questions answered, what I thought.
    Thanks.

yeah it's important to put enough distance between the ads and any pictures on your site so that, not only it does not cover up the "ads by google" but also does not lead the user to thinking the picture is somehow related to the ad.
