Hi, three way linking is effective link building technique to get one way link. ie. person 1 have two sites, site A and site B and person 2 have one site, site c now person 1 put site c link on site A and ask person 2 to put site B's link on Site C. so both the sites , site c and site B will get one way link. and the procedure is called 3 way link exchange. google can understand all types of the link exchanges. i suggest you to become careful because of this

3 way linking- you have 2 sites A and B, you will ask other site to put your site A on their site in return you will put their links on your site B.

That's clear for me too but sometime I think it's doesn't fair coz' both of link is not high quality but I put link to their high quality web.
agreed but you if u have all your site hosted on different IP's than no need to worries. it will treated as natural linking. and one more thing, no one will banned you by just 3 way link exchange.
