Because some people are so good at spamming the search results making of no use to the searcher.

Doorway pages, link farms, duplicate sites and on and on commonly referred to as black hat SEO.

Some sites don't deserve to exist, let along get indexed by Google. For now, Google acts as the partial executioner of such sites.

Their primary function is to provide a good experience for searchers. If searchers don't find using google satisfactory, if it doesn't come up with what they are looking for, they will start looking for other ways to find what they want.

I think that no matter how different websites could be, Google has no right to judge them. Don't judge and you won't be judged.

I think by banning websites, Google shows its weakness as a search engine, IMO. Its algo is not sophisticated enough, i.e. backrub technology. It could be tweaked a little bit, but it has its limitations such as purchasing backlinks from prominent websites or setting up 301 redirects from old domains.

Also, a big deal for Google are lawsuits. They don't like to get sued for trademark breaches, so they gladly eliminate websites that can be somehow assiciated with prominent brands.

Turnkey which are not developed at all should be banned. We dont need 5 copies of the same site on the internet. Some people should just get out of web development business! Instead of developing alot of quality sites, they buy 100s of turnkey and just launch it.

if you look at Google from a user side rather then a webmaster side when you do a search for information you want to find the best info or answer quickly, that is their goal, however there are thousands of shitty sites that are worthless and congest the search results and it just takes the user longer to find what they're looking for, hence Google tries to filter through the shit and rank the quality sites at the top that actually provide valuable info and answers for their users, and while doing this ban some of these worthless spam/MFA sites and not even deal with them.

They need to pull about 60% of their sites out of there.

Here's a massive project for Google. Go through and dump all sites with duplicate crap. All those product pages that are just rewrites of the main site's info, dump em. :)

I think that they truly have to be interested in providing good relevant sites based on your searches, otherwise you'll get torked and leave for another SE.

I think they toss sites out because of this.
