I have a adsense account. Last week a friend of mine applied from my PC for a new Adsense account through my own adsense affiliate Link. Iam now having a fear that will adsense BAN my account because both the ccount have used the same IP. Does it create a Problem if more than 1 Publisher accesess the adsense Stats from the same IP?
Iam serious About my Question. Will the account be banned if two accounts are viewed from the same PC?
So "your friend" clicked on your adsense referral and signed up, but now you realize the IP address is the same and it might get flagged. It is like clicking on your own ad except you can't dismiss it as "a mistake" so I think the answer is quite obvious. Maybe a calm and polite email to adsense might help.
I think that you will be banned from Google... "Me and my friend" is a story that they probably have heard before....
So basically you're trying to make an easy $100 by signing up for a second account and boosting it to the minimum payout? If that second account hits the min payout ammount (assuming they don't ban you before approving the second one), they will either ban both accounts, or ban your second account. Don't bother trying to scam google, they know all the tricks
I am guessing it is only a matter of time before something happens to your account. You need to either start taking adsense more seriously, or you need to remove it from all your sites.
Well I have to admit this, I have no AS accounts, but the two companies I own each have one. No prob's here (Knock On Wood), but then I do try and learn from those who were banned, and not do what they do. Your friend, violated an unwritten practice that contributes to some people getting banned (as posted by those banned). Logging into AS account from a computer they do not maintain 100% control of. Only fallout I can see is, if your friend is already doing stuff that previously banned people have admitted to (accessing accounts from uncontrolled computers) your friend might end up being banned; then if G goes looking at their history, you were the one that referred them. Guess the cliche' "keep your nose clean" can be used here. Note: as for what I'm doing (2 separate companies(Inc's)) is a fact. As for what might happen to you, or "your friend" purely speculative. Heck, you might be worse of if your "Friend" is actually you with another family members SSN. Then your business practices should have YOU, and YOU banned. later, tom
Okay, I'm a little confused here. If 2 people in the same house using the same computer (same IP) can sign up for 2 AS accounts, why can't his friend sign up for an account using his computer? Or is it only because the friend used his ref link to sign up that it's wrong? Does the new referral system TOS say you can't sign up a relative? I'm just asking - my background is in Get-Paid-To-Read programs, where no-one can use the same computer or IP address.
