Gmail for Your Domain: Anybody Heard About This?

Apparently Google is testing Gmail for domains. You can set one up and don't have to host it, either. I may try this for a couple of my domains, as I am too lazy to actually set mailboxes up, and I am also tired of setting up a catchall, blah blah blah...I really just wish gmail would add the ability to fetch mail from other POP accounts on my domains, and be able to send from them too, like you can with multiple gmail accounts.

I've never heard of it before. If I set up a mail account for a website, I usually do so in my cpanel.

Any opinions on it? If it's old news I'm curious to how it works. I'm currently paying extra for email features on some clients sites. They might have more features on gmail.

Its been working good for me. It's setup on a
    subdomain: mail.mydomain.com, but hosted
    with them.

Works just like gmail, no probs.

I am actually using this for my domain, ricdes.com. It is working great and with no problems. And because It's Gmail and not some cheap webmail tool now I can organize my mails a lot better, not using the BW of my server anymore. You can have up to 20 Accounts with your desired domain I think.

i love it because of the spam filter and also cause now my server doesn't slow down with the thousands of spam that is sent to fake accounts in my domain.

Heard of it, tried it for 3 days. Decided I am leary of a few of Google practices already. Took the domain back to my own personal server. So haven't tried it since.
