I'm only a few months away from finally moving to CR. I can't freakin wait! I'll be down there in January for about a month to scope out places to live. I haven't decided on renting or buying yet. Renting may be smarter for the time being while I figure out where I want to be. Send me some suggestions for areas to scope out when I come down in January. I DEFINITELY need high speed internet wherever I live so there has to be some infrastructure for sure, no remote villages, etc.
You can get your own satellite internet, but it can take a while til they install it. Things move slow over here.
So i've heard. I would probably like to go with dsl. I found some places in the north west near the beach that say they offer dsl. I guess i'll just have to check and double check when i'm actually there. Is the satellite internet pretty fast and reliable?
Very fast and very reliable. But as I`ve sad, things take a long time here. I may be able to get you some info in advance on how to order it before you get here. Seriously, people have been waiting for as long as 3 months til they finally installed it.
Yeah, I would definitely need to get something pre ordered. My entire business is online so I would be out of work if I had to wait that long. I'll have to get with you before we move down there and see what we can do if you don't mind. That would be a huge help.
You can call the number on my site if you like, my partner is an attorney who sets them up. The easiest way is to take over an already existant corporation and then just change the name. He registered a bunch of corporations already and transfers them over to clients easily. Normally the price is around $500.00 - $700.00 depending on whether you want phonelines, bank accounts etc. Normally when you get a phoneline and a corporation on your own, you wait about 2-3 months til you can do business with it.
