im thinking to register a domain name which is:

    1. a 2 keyword business related domain name.

    2. both are very populer keywords.

    3. but only .mobi is available (if i ever try to grab the .com version, it would cost me $200000+, i guess)

    4. returned 327 searches on overture keyword search result.

should i go for the .mobi?

What are you going to use the domain name for? If it is for personal use, then go for the .mobi. If it is for an online business, then I would suggest you to find another domain that is available in .com or .net. IMO, .mobi doesn't seem very professional. Come up with a list of keywords and play around with different combinations. Domain Tools has a bulk whois check that allows you to check multiple domains at once.

dont have any specific plan. as i figured the keywords are very good i thought i should grab it, build a business related website and ill try to sale it on sedo later on. for an example, if business.mobi was available and i could build a site with the domain and try to sale it later, dont you think business.mobi would be able to grab $$$$? thats what im thinking to do.

    Sorry, I'm not a murderer :p

Unless you're going to build a site for mobile devices, don't go for a .mobi.

When you build a .mobi name, it has to be .mobi compliant as well

Don't forget also that the mobile internet users is growing. An nice example is google.mobi, so in a future many sites will have versions for smartphones.
