Need suggestions on how to use my 1000 UV a day

    Hey,
    I have a website that gets over 1000 UV a day and a heck load of pageviews...


    The website is Desktop Wallpapers

    It is number one on Google for many desktop wallpaper related terms...

    I am getting a new graphic design for it to make it look better. But how can I make money on this website? I have tried the PPC and CPM and not much payout.

    Any suggestions is welcome

    I would try with google adsense link unit at the top and maybe 728×90 google IMAGE ad somwhere near other walpaper images.

    I dont want to put Google Ads since the website could be considered adult (its a close call) and I dont wana get banned from Google Adsense

    You are right, it's a close call.

    A few choices:
    1- Ask Google but it may take some time
    2- Remove the offending(few) pictures and add Adsense
    3- Go to the dark side ;) and allow more naughty pictures.

    Did you had Adsense at the beginning? Did it perform well?

    I would go with 2 in your case.

    I know, because I have 1 Naughty Blog and had the same problem. I went with 3. :D

    Would you accept my new banner(468x60) sitewide? If no, then go to with 2.

    Here's my suggestion...

    1. Sign up for an affiliate network such as AzoogleAds or CJ.
    2. Find merchants that are related to wallpapers, images, etc.
    3. Create a landing page on your site and promote that merchant.

    The key to conversions is targeted traffic.

    You could sign up for Azoogle and try promoting their smiley/screensaver offers.

    I think they have a few and I'm guessing they'd perform well.

    one thing that i have considered but never really interested me, was to put porn affiliate banners,

    Should I or not? any suggestions? any idea how they perform?
