Why sell yourself short? There are markets that pay $1.00 a word and more! Eh, I guess it all depends on what value you place on your writing. Good luck with all you do.
Hey perdrix, Depending on when they were assigned and of what complexity, usually within 3 days, shorter if on weekends. Would you please provide me with your e-mail address? That would make sending the articles and future discussion regarding them easier. Webwriter, I find $0.02 to $0.03 to be a competitive rate in most instances. I have never found a market that pays $1.00 a word.
That is because people like you drive the market rates down. You don't take writing seriously because if you did you would not sell yourself short. Just because someone can piece words together into a sentence, it does not make them a writer. Bitter? Heck yes I am because I am so tired of people expecting to pay $2.00 an article as if that is a huge amount (rolls eyes) and I am even more tired of people accepting that. If you mean competitive as in who can offer the lowest rate then I guess you are right. 3 cents a word...ha!

im definetely interested in getting content writters that can write articles on fashion related topics.. ie. history on specific fashion trends, designers, labels, periods etc... can you do it? and im looking at ~US$7-8 per 600 word article.. Im looking at hundreds of articles over a long period of time
Liquid, sorry but fashion is probably not the best choice. Also, $7-8 per 600 words is a ridiculously low price.
