    Hi,

I am currently getting a dissapointing 0.84% CTR for my adsense placement on http://www.livetv.ws. Any suggestions? :).

    Thank you,

You should try using some more ads somewhere in the right column or below the nav bar, something slightly more prominent

Well, it looks like the ads are displyed in a pretty prominent position already.

moshin: Alright, thank you. I'll try that :). No, it's a custom coded CMS style site.
    qwestcommunications: Alright, sounds good :).

    Donny,

No one can tell you for sure if one thing works over another without you trying it yourself. I would suggest you use different sizes of ads here and test it out. Below are general guidelines that are being suggested.

    Recommendations:

    1) Your reader is reading your pages from top to bottom, perhaps you want to take advantage of that eye flow and move an ad to the right side of the page like a Skyscraper (120x600) and move the channel menu to right side slightly

    2) Note, the maximum ad options are not being used on the site. You can have three ad blocks, one link unit per page plus one search box.

    3) Top ad banner looks good, however I would suggest you try another size Leaderboard (728 x 90) and move the top menu down slightly.

    3) Try to place a Large Rectangle (336 x 280). Right below the book mark section since it is not blank space. Again taking advantage of your readers eye flow.

    4) I would suggest you add a general PRIVACY page to the site, it does help for your adsense quality score reasons.

    5) Bottom ad block (if you still want to keep that), try moving the Prev/ Next link below that ad.

    6) Your URL info is missing in the ads or they are blended in with the background?? Not sure about that, my suggestion will be to blend that with the font color used on the site.

    7) Use channel and URL tracking to track your results and optimize based on the results.

    Good luck :)

Revised and I'm seeing results already! CTR went up 40%! I wasn't able to place the search box in there, since the results are somewhat corrupt. I'll see what I can do :).

Any other suggestions you can think of? :)

    Thank you,
    Donny

8 out of 10 times I tried to open your site, an error message comes up and your site closes to the 404 screen. I am using ie7. Could just be my browser though.

    It worked fine on FF.

Actually, no, but that would be a good idea. However, I think I used all 3 of my google adsense ads already. Maybe a referral ad? That would work.
