Just wondering if anyone knows of anything extremely high selling domains. Most expensive one I could find was Sex.com. It apparently sold for $14,000,000 last year! Feel free to post anymore you have heard of.

Oh for sure, probably all kinds that would go for much more than these, but there are ones that actually have sold. Gives me a little inspiration that maybe someday I can unload an amazing domain....

$345 mill is a LOT of money.

If I had that much - I don't think I'd be doing much "business" anyway. I'd be spending time on the beach instead of working. :)

business.com was the big fish I think...but that wasnt a stand alone domain..that was a site. if you were simply going for domains, undeveloped I think sex. com was the one

Depends on what you classify as a 'domain sale' and how the payments were made. Many aren't pure cash deals, many come with business attached, etc. Also how do you handle inflation? Just a few things to think about.... basically your super generic category .coms are the ones commanding prices.

It has been projected that pharmacy.com is going to sell for over $50 million. There is a firm marketing the domain that has been soliciting a client list consisting of 100 well researched possible buyers. The only reason I could see this undeveloped domain selling for so much, is the fact that the pharmaceutical industry is a multibillion dollar industry. The marketing firm is hoping to create a bidding war over the domain. If a bidding war starts between two big pharmaceutical companies I can see it selling for well over 50 million. Keep your eyes open for this one. :)

    $345! that's really unbelievable!
however, how much should be the price of a very well known 3 letter domain,
    like bbc.com/ibm.com/cnn.com? Just a little curious :D

I would think something like business.com would go for the most..it's a wide-range brandable domain that tons of companies would love to get their hands on.
