Ordering Product through Your Own CJ Link

I am a publisher using the Wall Street Journal affiliate program through CJ on one of my sites. I want to order a subscription to the wall street journal through my affiliate link. I have tried emailing their support, but have received no response. Should I just go ahead and order the subscription?

Just do it. They care about getting the sale.

Sorry for changing the topic a bit but do some good domain or webhosting companies like GoDaddy, etc. allow publishers to use their own link?

I've used it for GoDaddy once (domain not hosting), but I'm sure they don't care.

If they will take the $ they get from an affiliate sale from anyone I imagine that includes you to.
And as a good affiliate you should know the product. :)

If you sent a message to the email address listed in CJ for the WSJ program, you should get a response pretty quickly - they're usually very responsive. CJ Mail can be slower sometimes, especially since CJ has been down so much lately.

As for the WSJ program, I've been told that you are allowed to buy through your own link.

I was setting up my affiliate links for godaddy and testing where they lead and if they work from the control panel and some days later I purchased some domains from godaddy by typing directly the url in the browser.
to my surprise I got commision for the domains I bought but two days later they took it back. So it seems they do care after all.

Some companies let you buy through your link, others don't - depends on the company.

That's bad. :( I was thinking about buying a web hosting plan using my own CJ link but I think it won't be possible.

There are about 15 of these topics a week, you may want to try searching.

The answer to this question varies on an affiliate by affiliate basis. You need to check the ToS or contact them. If you do it and aren't allowed, you will be discredited. If you are a repeat offender you could be banned.

Do not just listen to the people who post here saying "of course you can, they want your business". That is not the answer every affiliate gives. For example Amazon does not allow you to buy through your own links.

I've ordered quite a few things through my CJ links without any real problem. I believe once my commission was removed, but that's the worst that has happened. But I haven't ordered WSJ in specific...

I am equally confused... I don't think a merchant should care about who is buying - as long as it is a valid sale!
