    for visitors I suggest posting articles and linking to your blog on social networks like Digg etc. Just let people know about your blog, the important thing is quality content, if people come and see nothing on your blog or just duplicated content they'll never come back again, try to write unique stuff
    You can try adwords to bring soem traffic, what about people clicking on ads, well, I don't know really, depends of the niche, ad placement, how much the ads are revelant etc. you should never ask people to click on your ads because it will get you banned

    As you know , increasing traffic is big headache of every webmaster ,
    There are lots of ways to increase traffic , One of the best way is search engine optimization , Its necessary to have at least little knowledge over it .
    Other evergreen ideas are article submission , link / banner exchange , forum signature etc bla bla bla ....
    You can find many more ideas over internet ....

    Write good and interesting content. Its a great way to get traffic from search engines too. You do need to be patient though.

    hence you focused on a tiny niche market and may get a tiny niche traffic. may be even your blog topic was only chosen for adsense $ and NOT by what you love to do during the thousands of working hours of your entire life ....

    if you want a blog with virtually unlimited traffic - limited ONLY by the creative productivity of yourself - then you have to cater to the on eor several of the generic NEEDS of average humans on this planet and thus you WILL attract thousands of visitors if you create thousands of blog articles and each one is fully SEO'd.
