I recently started using Netscape, and as several others have mentioned here, many of the inner "tag" pages have got very good PR - majority have PR5-6 and the number of links submissions on several of the high PR tag pages are very few.

That's what I've always heard people recommend it for. I don't know of anyone who uses Netscape over Reddit or Digg, but the site still has a great PR and for that reason some have suggested submitting links there just to get the PR help.

I am trying it but the truth is that digg is more affective. but another thing (i am getting diplomatic :D) there is very much crowd in digg so some times good articles get ignored.

For me its not hard to get traffic from Netscape. Netscape is a portal on which you can submit stories and vote on by the users. The more vote and comments a story receives , the higher it rank and for possible traffic. I think you got traffic if the story you submitted is effective to user.

    Couple of comments

    - lots of traffic mean nothing if it doesn't convert. Social bookmark site users will almost never click on adsense.
    - I tries submitting links to affiliate sites that were redirected from my host (so it looks like a normal link). Netscape detected it, banned the accounts that posted them and deleted all their submissions.

The only decent role I see for netscape is that posting a new site there gets it listed quickly on google.

I think Netscape is better for backlink, not traffics.

To be honest, I accomplished home page listing on netscape fairly easily, but never got the traffic I thought I would get. I didn't even notice a difference :S. Is there something wrong?

    Thank you,
    Donny

This worked, or it used to atleast (4-6 months ago.)

Back then you only needed 5-10 hits to crack the first page, 15 and you were near the top.

Would send 5000 or so hits in a 24 hour period. I used the blackhat method.

I have gotten articles removed though which is why I end up stopped doing it.

Just as a test a couple weeks ago I made a pretty stank blog with one post, as soon as I made the blog, posted the post I submitted it to netscape, within 5 hours the blog was indexed by google and was in the top 40 results for the title I used.

I even had a blog post show up on google within half an hour once, I had the top spot on google for the words and it immediately started sending me traffic.

It has got some pretty out of it powers for getting your pages on google fast.

Netscape is something I have been playing around with a lot and I get the feeling other people know what it can do but I think they're keeping it a little bit of a secret.
