Sorry for this trivial post, but I presume this is the fastest way of getting a response.

Is Skype's server down at the moment? I can't seem to be able to connect.

Can anyone here let me know? (also, if you d/c and then reconnect, does it work?)

I m facing the same problem with skype server.

can you login to your skype today?
all day it goes round and round for me

 

yeah mine has gone Pete Tong too - everything greyed out and crashes

Meanwhile, you can simply leave your Skype client running and as soon as the issue is resolved, you will be logged in. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Additionally, downloads of Skype have been temporarily disabled. We will make downloads available again as quickly as possible.

 

Same here.. I can't log in either.

No skype for us today, I guess.

I'm currently at the office and our entire network of PCs are also having some trouble logging in at skype as well... I hope this will be fixed soon.

 

The same thing is happening to me.It was well when i logged last time,hope they can fix the problem soon

 

I've been on and off since yesterday.

 

Skype engineers are working hard to make it available again. I was heard about this in a blog.

skype back online since 1 hour or so.

 

I had the same problem yesterday... couldn't login and neither did few other people I asked.

 

I believe the latest update now is - Skype users can login to their account, but their contacts cannot be seen..... (particularly if your contacts are not within the same locality or network.... )

 

not really, skype logs in for a short time for me and then it gets disconnected again

 

It's the same situation with me as well.
But, are you able to see your contacts online (within the period which you are logged on)?

 

I can see my contacts, but I'm still getting logged in and out over and over again. I think this proves that Skype is not a serious business solution. I missed important calls today over this and I am not happy about it.
