Check whether you have the / or no / in your site URL configuration panel. That seems to be usually the case.

In auction configuration do you have IPN enabled?

In your paypal account do you have US dollars balance open?

I thing this problem will be fix in latest version, but in the meantime, make sure that the paypal address that you are using for your bidding directory is the primary email address in your paypal account. not just one of your email in your paypal account, but the primary.

If you log into paypal and click on profile and then email under account information, you may have more than one email addresses listed there. the one that is labeled primary under the status columm is the one you have to use in your bidding directory.

I had the same problem and that fixed it. HOpe this helps

I had the same problem when I first installed mine. However, I got an error email from phpLinkBid when the payment for payPal was made. My problem was fixed when I switched the email address that phpLinkBid was using for payPal payments to be the PRIMARY email address in PayPal.

That's what I did too and it's fixed. Make sure you use the primary email, makes my directory looks bad because my primary is for an entirely different business but it make it works. I hope they fix it.
