In the last month I installed a directory script and obviously even linked to it from somewhere... the site is FAR from being complete, even missing a logo and so on but you might go ahead and submit some sites to it.
After all a link directory is quite pointless without... links

The sites have some PR but that's about it. I plan to include it in my cross-links once I gain a significant amount of links though.

    Current 'niches' are:
    » Affiliate Programs
    » Ecommerce
    » Online Tools
    » Resources
    » Scripts
    » Search Engines
    » Software
    » Web Design
    » Web Hosting

    Paid Web Hosting Webmaster Portal

first entries get a link on a pseudo-html page, the rest will have to settle with ?c=something as long as the rewrites aren't complete :)

It's a decent script which offers great scalability (sp?) and makes it easy to move to a multi-level structure if required. However there are some "traps" built in that eg. do not allow you to move back a category once you moved it to a existing subcategory. Overall it's still a great script though.

It's rather easy to install and maintain but I strongly suggest to read my thread over at v7n (sorry, Shawn) before you install it.

I was reading the posts over at v7n, and I'd have to agree with John Scott. I think if people are selling the script that he is giving away free, he has every right to install a backdoor. Now, I don't know the guy who created the script, but I don't see any point in him deleting honest people's DBs. He would only lose out by doing that.

I agree with you in that. It really is a BlueFind like directory... It would be prety lame to people sell someone's work in their own and exclusive profit..
