    Hey,

I have about 100k email addresses to customers that brought Nextel phone plans. All these customers have brought a plan and all these email addresses are correct and don't bounce back. We have never sent them a single email. We need to figure out ways that we can make money of these 100k people. This list if VERY targeted as you can see and is up to date with more and more email addresses added daily. Please help us monetize them.

    My idea:

Sign up with a mobile phone ring phone affiliate, and advertise it to them.

Please post your idea :) Anyone who posts their idea will get a green rep from me.

Setup a forum based on phones, advertise it to them and earn from ADS.

Have you considered the possibility of setting up a website actually selling cellular phones that accomodate Nextel plans, as a supplementary business? If you're unwilling to invest the time doing that, you may want to consider the possibility of establishing a website with AuctionAds as everyone is interested in eBay, but some merely the nudge to get going. Although these alternatives may not have a high degree of conversions, the earnings should be greater.

Create a website that sells Nextel accesories. Also, ringtones is a great way to make some money from them. Then lastly, AuctionAds that target nextel accessories.

I think that all these ideas are good. However I have a bit of reserve about what you say here:
From my experience, they will bounce back big time. You say you have never sent them a single mail, so you don't know if they bounce or not. However, this is just a technical observation, the number is great and you have a great potential whatever you decide to do with it.

These have been collecting in the past 2 months, when they purchased the phone plan, a confirmation were sent to them, and no emails bounced back.

Thanks all for the suggestions. By the looks it, you guys are saying that I should open up my own mobile phone site, and get visitors from my optin list?

Or sign up with an affilate site and send them offers from those sites. Taking portion of the profits made from the sales.

In my opinion the best for you will be make a website or forum and than advertise it to them, by doing this you will carry on the visitor (return visitor) and easily establish your site.

Beside that you may also send email on behalf of someone and charge him per subscription like a flat fee of $100 or whatever in advance before sending an email (this doesn't involves any action or click to make you profit)

Best thing to do is to send them an update email that sends them to a landing page with an opt-in form, so that you follow the can-spam laws and have a secondary list of people who actually want information about what they sign up for from that landing page.

When they ordered the plan, they were sent a confirmation about their order.

Also, don't forget when you send them a email. You can also sell ad space on those emails to others making money that way too. I would send it out looking like a news letter and not overly spammy with "this is the offer". I would send it out like "look at the updates to the phone you purchased has.". Sort of when I send out update emails to my customers. Telling them there is a update ready for download. "remind them to check for firmware updates or something"

Yes I already made a thread about selling ad space. I made a mistake, when I ran through the database to get the exact number, I ended up with about 410k email addresses, increasing at a rate of 5k email addresses per day.

If your privacy policy and how you gathered the address allow you to send them offers from partners, you can work with a list broker to rent the email list to other companies wanting to do marketing. The going rate is about $0.50 per working email address, and additional fees if you segment the list (by geography or by income or age for example).

I don't feel like renting or selling the list. The list right now is at 420k email addresses, and everyday it increases by 5k-6k email addresses. Alot more useful for me to use it. Though if your saying that the going rate is 50 cents per working email, then that means my list right now is worth over $200k right now.

Send them quality advice regarding cellphones (specifically nextel) and slip in a few affiliate offers (ringtones, accessories, etc) every now and again.

Don't spam them with advertising or you'll lose them as potential sales.

Hmm..that is a good suggestion. Should it be like a newsletter format, like I would send them a newsletter every 5 days or so?

It's your business guy, do whatever you like. Just don't spam them. Give them quality info and then they'll trust you enough to go through your affiliate links and buy stuff.

I'm not that type of person that spams up and trys to earn a quick buck. I actually only planned to send them one email per month, and showing that since they brought a nextel plan that they can get ringtones eg. for cheaper price and so on.
