Well I did it. I broke down and bought my first laptop. It was a used refurbished IBM. I like the little pinhead pointing device on IBM. I paid $407.00 including shipping. It was a PIII 1.0ghz, 512 mb ram, 14.1" TFT screen, 20 gig hard disk, DVD-ROM, Win XP Pro. I have a new desktop I just bought in July after my stuff got fried during an electrical storm. Even when it was plugged into a Triplite battery back up and surge protectors. This will be my first laptop. It has S-Video so I can hook into a projector if need be if I do any presentations. I think 1.0 ghz will be fast enought to do word processing and surf the net. I'll need to get a PCMCIA card for wireless connectivity though. I tried buying several on UBID but couldn't get the price I wanted. The auction format seems to be a big waste of time. Especially on UBid where they extend the auction for an additional 10 minutes. That's totally lame. Good for them though, bad for the bidder. I bought the laptop from a place called, Dealshooter.com. I searched briefly on the net for any positive or negative feedback about them. I couldn't find anything. I looked at their domain whois information and it showed it registered since 2004. I took the risk and I'll have to wait and see what happens. I emailed them and haven't heard back from them. But this was at 9 pm est. So if it's a one man operation that's understandable. Time will tell what the outcome will be.
I hope you get a lot of use out of your laptop. I bought mine in August for just about $1400 from Dell. I've used it one week and not once since. What a waste. I never should have gotten it. I bought it to bring on a week long trip.
Dear geej Thanks for shopping from dealshooter.com. We started do business with these website a month ago, But we are still a middle company located in Raleigh for 10 yrs. I can tell you we are trusted company. I think you have received your laptop two week ago. Hope you like it and leave some positive feedback for us. Thanks www.dealshooter.com

Something doesn't seem right. Wow this is the worst 2 man dog and pony show I've ever seen. Well congrats on your new laptop.
Exactly what I was thinking... Hodge I swear to god I am trustworthy, you have never met me but if you send me your paypal account information and bank account information I will make you 10 million richer....I mean I am saying I am trustworthy so it must be true.
I've never met Palespyder before, but I would not only give him my bank account info, but would encourage other's to as well. Also, please buy my miracle elixir.
