I would be interested in running a poker site but my gambling skills aren't good enough to make a living actually playing.
I guess I wasn't specific enough This happens every 3 out of 4 hands. I get burnt 75% of the time AT LEAST.
I used to make a decent amount playing online poker. Bush kind of shut down online gambling in the United States. It can still be done, but now it's more illegal and actually enforced a lot more. If you feel like taking a chance on online poker, the good news is that you can make money with it. Lots of people just play for fun, but if you want to make money you can't be one of them. If you're playing for money, it's a much more boring game, with a lot of folded hands. That's really the key. I played Texas Hold'em, and you have to fold most of your hands pre-flop. By only playing the top 10-15 starting hands, you will come out ahead in the long run. The bad news is that you have to have the bankroll to cover your mistakes and bad luck in the short run.
You also need to learn how not to tilt. When anger takes over you might as well just give them your bank details. If you feel like you are tilting you should walk away and thats the hardest part.
I started off with $0, played a few Freerolls and managed to win like $1++, and after 1.5yrs of playing it, I think I withdrew more than 40k USD from my neteller account : )) Not a bad time actually. But I stopped Online Poker after spending way too many hours grinding the tables. PLaying TIGHT and AGGRESSIVE works great on low / middle tables.
