Hey Google afficionados - I need your help. For the past 4 months I have spent time link building (including 4 $200 press releases via PRweb) and optimizing my website. Yesterday my site went from a PR4 to PR1!?! Some pages are "No Pagerank Info Available" and all others are all just PR1. I always play by the rules and use high-quality relevent content such as original articles, videos, etc to build links. Can anyone offer any insight as to this matter? Is it possible that I have just temporarily dropped from PR4 to PR1 and will go back up? Any and all insight is greatly appreciated in advance.
If you are doing things only to increase the size of the green bar, you are likely to be disappointed now and in the future. Toolbar PR looks nice, I'll admit I like it, but it is not what is important unless your goal is to sell links on a PRx page. The PR you see in the toolbar is not really indicative of what Google thinks about a particular page today.
Yep, I double that. Give it some more time when the update is officially over and then panic. It might be some temporary situation .. Cheers, Venetsian
i agree 100%. i'm pr 5 and yet there are sites with lower pr that outrank me the toolbar is nice to look at and nothing else and is not an indicator of where you will rank in the serps - and that is what counts
Go and be,ieve in the Google rules 100% -- be ready to get DOOMED. Be ready to play a little bit with Google PR & SERPs algo -- you r a WINNER. Hope you get the point across -- DON'T ACT BLIND.
I know PR is a nice way to measure your SEO progress but if my PR goes down I will just laugh, it doesent matter man, take it easy.
hahahaha... 3 of my site from 5 to 0 but thank God, traffics goes up till 400% << the only matter.......
it could go back up but still sucks. i hate it when things like this happen to me. they just piss me off
lots of things happening with Google PR update, we don't know of. Its possible that they changed the page rank algorithm, and your rank went down. But I would say they not sure either. Wait until its over.
