stay away from webceo, just use good old techniques. :) I would suggest started to submit to directories first and then numerous other things you'll figure it out.

Very interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing!

Where do you put those contextual links you mention? I couldn't see any on your website.

You must have spent a lot of hours getting those backlinks! But obviously it was worth it.

The money is just now starting to come in, but it will get more better as time goes on the best thing for every one that is asking me questions is to subscribe to my rss feed and participate in the community the ones that do it will come back to them.

Plus buy some links :) and keep building them thats it I work night and day 16 hours a day, you have to when your starting up :)

tdd, if i had 1K/day coming in i would not "solicitate" people on DP with buying links from me :)

I would sit in the bahamas and drink a corona probably while i do my "SEO"..or just retire after a year. Still dont believe you :)

What he means is you cannot truly use software to do SEO and you shouldn't

However I use WebCeo for keyword rankings, analysis, website stats and other reports. I have for several years now.

Makes pretty reports like this one ;)

    http://client-results.sem-advance.com/extremepda/07-19-07.htm

For keyword research I would suggest a pro tool such as keyworddiscovery.com

Study the algorithm, learn how one works.

Use this to determine edges you can and cannot push.

    And remember

believe none of what you read, and half what you hear ...

    :)

    i disagree,

there is a certain set of rules, especially for on-site SEO, and there is nothing wrong when a tool incorporates (an knows about) those rules and is able to go through code and give hints where to improve.

META Tags, keyword density, H1 tags, etc..etc..etc...do you think that going through there "by hand" does anything different ? IMHO a program is even better to check those things since humands can make errors.

The other stuff, mainly off-site SEO, link-building...there it's clear that manual work is better.

Some of the richest webmasters have never heard of SEO, they just have passion for their sites. Matt Drudge singlehandedly beat the newspapers at their own game online, and now they beg him for links.

Focus on your passion and money will come easily.
