where do sites like msn , aol, and yahoo get all there info from. for instance they have a sports section, where do they come up with the news and and all the info? do they have like employees who are in charge of the sports section only and they constantly monitor sports on tv and on the web and make up there own stories that they think are important? same goes with the tech section, the shopping section and so on

they probably have a whole section dedicated to writers and RSS feeds and stuff.

who knows. nobody knows how exactly they do what they do.

They have journalists and professional freelance writers who cover specific industries/segments.

They also get stories from AP (Associated Press), Business Wire, PR Newswire, and other wire services.

They pay people to write, they pay to get syndicated content or they can get big databases of information that automatically generate content(eg. yahoo finance).
