I recently started on my personal site. However, to my dismay Google has put some junk in its cache here. How do I get rid of it and ensure that Google indexes my page/site properly? I have no idea what to do, please help.
You need to post your website on some high trrafic and high crawling websites after that google will be crawl your website all of pages. If you want more suggestion then PM me.
Strange enough it only has cached this page: http://www.satishtalim.com/googlehostedservice.html No other. Have you uploaded that page?
Yes, that page was uploaded because I am using Google's mail services for my domain. Still all confused
I'm always skeptical whenever people offer their "services" on threads like this, or more info via PM, expecially when the answer is so simple.... The site has been indexed see here, It has been indexed without the www. You should probably add the following code to your .htaccess file and register for the google webmaster tools and select www as your preffered domain Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} . RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^example\.com RewriteRule (.*) http://example.com/$1 [R=301,L] Code (markup): change example.com to your domain
How long have you had your sitemap. Especially since your site is new, it is probably not crawled too often. It may help to also include a link to it in your forum signature at places like DP.
yes your site's non-www version has been indexed by Google. To make sure that Google indexes only www urls. First you need to link to inner pages of the site using full www urls. You can also permanently redirect all non-www urls to respective www urls.
