MAC or PC

Hello, I am looking to purchase a new computer. But I am torn between the iMac or a PC.

I do a lot of graphic design, web design, and some gaming here and there.

    What do you think
? Anyone here that has had a good amount of time on both and care to share their experiances?

If you get a Mac, you can use it for graphic design, and then you can install Windows for games... If you're not a hardcore gamer, it's enough.

I use Macs mainly. I was a hardcore Windows user for many years. I switched to Macs when OSX came out and never looked back.

I do have a Windows machine, but I rarely use it.

I'd recommend you go to the Apple store and play around for awhile then make up your own mind.

Hmmm just remember if you get a MAC be ready to keep a lookout for programms.
Mostly today the majority of programs like Games and others are catered to PC users, of course there are MAC applications aswell.
    But not in this quantity...

I also have a question, can you run Mac's normal system and run XP at the same time. Like for example can you choose to run Mac, or Windows from the boot menu?

You can get a Mac, duel boot it with XP or something, then you have the best of both worlds. That was what was suggested to me the other week.

I would go with the pc. Parts are cheaper and most programs are compatible.

I'm very happy with my mac but for any niche marketing software you might need you'll need to be able to use Windows as well.

I've been using Macs for over a year and have slowly discovered that most of my favorite windows applcations have mac altrnatives.

    Best wishes,

    Martin

I like to design on Mac's but the PC allows you to do much more things unless you use the vmware fusion 4 which looks aweseme on the Mac :D.

PC's are much cheaper, Mac's are way over priced
