I see blogs listed profitable niche ideas how are these people finding them. Is there some kind of software or something that just lists them? How do they determine whether it is a profitable niche or not. And once you find a profitable niche what do you do? Register a keyword domain name make a simple webpage targeting the words and put up adsense ads?
If only it was that easy. I find most successful niche websites were started by people who had a real passion for the content. If you are in it for profit, then buy a website and make it better.
The niche or topic you know a lot about or if you're passionate about it. Because that will make sure you continue to build content..
Lokahi, You can get ideas by going to the bookstore and looking at the all the magazines. Each of those magazines is a niche subject that also has a high probability of being profitable (otherwise, why publish the magazine). Vickyiori's post to start with something you're interested in is good advice.
Always Do that which you enjoy the Most... Success is enjoyed by those who "work" for a LOVING, not a Living. There are scads of money to made doing what you like...hobby, avocation etc. I love to garden...my small tomato patch generates several thousands a year. And the Book I am writing about it will do More.. And that is just one. Horses are our Life....we have always generated Income through Sharing & Marketing our Passion. Our trainers also take Animal photos and she markets through Blogs and websites....... Everyone has Niche opportinuities....unless they are DEAD to the World "Ignorance on Fire is better than Intelligence on Ice"
Leonard Cohen put it best: It's better to get paid for your work than work for your pay. I just posted a web career related article on another board, which discusses the need to follow your passion and true talent. Like Tatto and Vicky stated, if you're not passionate about something, forget about it.
That basically explains it. Right about something you're really passionate about, don't go after subjects that bore you.
You know you've found a niche when you have a problem yourself that no existing website has a decent solution for. That's how YouTube started. A bunch of friends had no way of sharing videos with each other, so they made YouTube.
Just a Thought.... Passion is from within. Be passionate about YOU, not things... Then share the Passion with others, GIVE MORE That creates a Vacuum which the Law of Attraction will Fill, since Nature abhors a Vacuum... GET MORE
Once you do find a niche, make sure you put a plan into action. One of the downfalls of internet marketing is getting bogged down in email from gurus who have the next best thing. Once you have a plan and tools, go for it. Put your plan into action. That way you'll know what works and doesn't work. If something doesn't work, you can always try something else. There's always something new to try.
Remember, most gurus are only Babes in the Woods in the scheme of marketing history.....They got here through Focus not happenstance... And many will lose staying Power........ Many programs have no Foundation I applaud..... "Once you have a plan and tools, go for it. Put your plan into action. That way you'll know what works and doesn't work" Pages 36-39 In various edition of Think & Grow Rich states it so SIMPLY
To find a profitable niche, you have to do research. Truthfully though, there are alot of profitable niches out there, just some has more competition than others. If you know how to advertise your site and do SEO plus some programming and designing, then about 80%+ of your competition would not be so much of a worry to you. The reasons for this is because alot of people have websites, but don't hardly know how to modify the looks and coding, they put a site on the web and then can't get that much traffic to it, etc.
Hi, I come from a different point of view. Doing what you are passionate about is a hobby. If you make money, then that is great, but it is a long shot. Most artists do what they are passionate about. Providing a service or product which others are passionate about is a business. What I am attempting to do for my own site is find a product or service that people think they "need" and is not being satisfied by current providers. To say that identifying this market is difficult is an understatement. But that is what is required to build a good businesses. Most businesses fail because they have not identified an underserviced market segment. My advice would be to look for that segment. Preferably one that you have good expertise in. Rich
Just Come Up With Some Keywords Or Think About Your Favorite Topics The Do A Overture Search Using The Search Tool
To be completely honest... to think of an idea- you cant think about it It'll just come to you If I'm trying to think of an idea, it doesnt work.. I just have to sit back- read the forums- and let it pop in to my head
I agree. Inspiration only happens when you are not trying to be inspired. Sort of like solving a problem while asleep. I am just marking time with my site until something just comes to me. Rich
