Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

Strange, a backlink update in the console.. the last one was not that long ago though

 

The GWC updates way more often than the link: command does, that's not strange at all.

People have been getting confused lately, thinking that's what was meant by a backlink update. It's not.

I know the difference.
Thought it was strange because much more time has passed between two last updates. And I now remember you arguing with another member when he posted a thread about it

Yes backlinks semms that updated again. Strange.

 

All of us know -backlinks were updated on few DCs few days back. Then they were reverting and coming back again.

Now they have been updated across most DCs I am checking. So the EXPORT might start anytime now.

EDIT:

My PR4 directory is showing PR0 -- on some DCs on iwebtool

Then I checked --same DCs on digpagerank and its showing PR N/A on them

Its quite old directory (16 months +) and has some Good backlinks.

Mong - can you help me here?

Just checked --my toolbar is also showing PR N/A

 

i believe that the snapshot for the pr update was taken at 31 of july.I see that G visit the homepage of all my sites at 31 of july anyone else noticed?
I mean in the webmasters tools...
any opinion?Maybe time of the snapshot and pr update was reduce to a week or so....

 

We'll see... I think the snapshot theory is a myth, at least nowadays. But after this update, maybe someone can point me to a page less than a couple weeks old that has no PR, and should have gotten some if there was no snapshot a month or a week before. Whatever the time frame, there will be pages "missed" if there is a snapshot. Not missed by a day, missed by at least a week or two.

 

Very very weird indeed.

All categories have also gone PR--N/A on my tool-bar.

I can see only two possibilities ---

Either the new PR will be exported shortly --or there will be no PR

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok i got my first toolbar PR change .... A PR 3 from a PR 0 and a lot of PR 0's from a NA

 

New to this, but two of my sites have increased PR on about half the data centres - one from a 0 to a 3, and one from a 2 to a 3...

We can't confirm anything for this update. Seems like datacenters show changes and then go back. I think G is wokring on something for the update though. I bet it will be an interesting one.
