Drugs should be legalized as well. There is no point in keeping it illegal and people still using it. Tobacco and alcohol are already legal drugs. As is seen in holland, legalizing drugs there reduced the consumption.

As far as the disease part in prostitution is concerned, legalizing will reduce the chances of disease spreading. Prostitutes have to under go routine check ups to get their license. And when prostitutes are legally available, human trafficking of people for sex around the world will reduce as well.

here in Holland drugs and prostitution IS legal :D god I love this country (not because of the prostitutes, I have a gf ;) )...

you all should come here sometimes and visit the centre of Amsterdam, you only smell weed there... So maybe drugs usage reduced, but if you hate the smell you're better of when it's illegal as everyone does it in public

In reality, the only form of safe-sex is no sex. Regardless of how regulated it is, it can take days, even weeks before diseases show symptoms or even show up on tests. I think the problem you would see is that there would be an increase of people using prostitutes, and in return, an increase of people exposed to diseases.

That won't work as long as humans have sex organs

I agree with the first part of this where it says about disease showing up mafter weeks.
Not with the second part. Legalizing would probably reduce the usage of prostitutes. One reason is that the thrill of breaking a law is gone. You can find proof of it from studies of drug use in holland. Second prostitutes can save the money for them selves. Now they have to bribe the police, politicians and have to be at the mercy of some pimps.
