I agree that not all commercial sites do well in Froogle, but then again, not all commercial stores do well in the offline world of commerce. When will people realise that having a website is no different to having a shop on the high street?

To succeed in commercial environments you have to deliver a product that people want to buy at a price they are willing to pay, and deliver it in the fashion they are prepared to accept!

Sorry if I offended anoyone, but there is no difference to the basics of online V offline business. Commerce is Commerce!

You got redrepped for that? I figured that kind of thing was reserved more for naughty behaviour...poor form.

To a degree I agree with you that commerce is commerce and that Google should not rest on their laurels. Where I disagree with the current strategy is the speed in which Google is rolling out new services, in my opinion neglecting what made them great. Should they be in news, froogle, adwords, etc? Sure, why not...it's a business. However, by focusing on some of these other areas, I think they have lost their technical edge on SE relevance (as referenced by the greater percentage of cache issues, 302 problems, indexing of incorrect domains, etc). IMHO, they need to fix their current problems in order to maintain dominance, before attempting to extend their empire.

You need to search for your site using 1800sunstar.com NOT 1800SUNSTAR.COM/

The search is case sensitive.

The first occurance of 1800SUNSTAR.COM/ (all upper case) is a listing from "web stats from Statbrain.com" at position #34

I assume you mean 66.102.9.104 - they do seem to differ.
For the keywords I am targeting, they do seem to be more relevant... but there are some that still do not deserve to be there, not even a mention of one of the keywords...
I hope that these are the ones that get don't get discarded...

What to do if you get an undeserved penalty? (WE, a dutch SEO company > www.optimalisatie-website.com) have been penalized and we don’t know why. We didn’t use hidden techniques or spam. All our content is VISIBLE!!! We used to have pagerank 4, now we have 0. We think one of our competitors filled in a spam report and that Google just banned our site, without checking the report properly.

Does anyone have good tips what to do in this case? Wich department of Google is best to contact? We already sent an e-mail and we had phone contact with Amsterdam and America, but no one answers our questions! (Why did you penalize us?)

I just saved your index page locally.

its 11.640 bytes.

I removed "zoekmachine" and "optimalisatie" from the source.

then the files becomes only 9.033 bytes.

2607 bytes gone = 22.39 % of the webpage are just these 2 words.

And you use absolute urls, why?

And a quick glance at the other pages on your site, suggest the same keyword stuffing.

Is your site spammy? YES

 

And as always, this is caused by a competitor... a friend... an angry ex-girlfriend... a hungry cat... a guy with no legs...

Why can't people accept the fact that some sites are better than theirs and for consecuense have better rankings?

If I knew shit, my site that was clobbered by Jagger1 would be back to 9K visitors per day, instead of where it is now at 3k visitors per day.

If I knew shit, I would know why one of my sites was clobbered by Jagger1, while none of my other sites were touched.

If I knew shit, at least one of the numerous changes I have made since Jagger1 would have had some effect.

If I knew shit, I would be in one hell of a better mood.
