Hi Everyone, Would you mind checking out my site and giving me some advice & recommendations on it? Thanks.
Pros: Simple, to the point, uncluttered Cons: 1. The tagline in the logo is practically invisible. Black on Dark green, I barely noticed it. I would also expect to return home by clicking the logo and I couldn't. 2. Broken links: On the Apparel page, Products by Brand and Products by Category links are broken. On another page, the contacts link was broken, but I couldn't find that page again. 3. There is no breadcrumb on the Guarantee, Contact Us and Shipping info pages so there is no way to get home without hitting the Back button. 4. The content is sparse and not very exciting. Even minor mouseover effects for the links would help. 5. I am not sure why I would want to buy anything from you, there is no "sell". Are you cheaper? More reliable? An expert? Okay, I see some of that now, but I guess I am just not "sold". Overall: If you can spice up the "sell" and keep the simplicity, you will be more succesful. There are some big names in this space and I think you will have to be more specific and upfront about why they should choose your site over the bigger names. I like the outdoor library idea, but it looks like you are just starting on that section. Once you build that up, you should give it more prominence. Good luck.
Interesting. Thanks for the feedback. What is the best way to sell my site? Sprinkle my USP around on all my pages? Put up a "why buy from us?" page? Put a drop-down list somewhere in my nav structure with the top 3/5/10 reasons to buy from us? Testimonies would help, but they will come only with time & satisfied customers. Thanks!
Short sweet and to the point. Nice. My only revision would be to change your tag line font to white. It's kinda hidden within the green, or maybe it's just my eyes. Either way, great site. I hope to exchange links with you in the near future.
I think it's very simple and you should add something interesting to make it more breading. If you wanted at simple ok but still I dont like fact that your header looks plain and your menus borders look 3d. If you ask me should be oposite.
I don't know the best way to sell your site. The question kind of goes back to your business model. What is your plan for success? Who is your target market? Who are your customers? Why would they choose to buy from you rather than REI.com, EMS, Hudson Trail, Sierra Trading Post, etc. When you figure out who and why, you will be better able to determine how to reach them. I can't tell you the best way to sell your site because I don't know who your target market is. I can only tell you authoritatively that I was not sold. If I am not your target market than there's no reason I should have been sold. However, if I am your target market, then you didn't reach me and you need to do more work. If you don't know who your target market is, then you should probably start there, because you've got to know who you are building the site for. Remember that I liked the simplicity and uncluttered look of your website. You have a great base to work with. My questions and comments aren't meant to be discouraging or mean. They are meant to help you zero in on your audience. Cheers!
I have checked your site, but when we open your homesite it looks like your site is under construction, and it doesent look good. And also you have a link there for online shop its better for ecommerce website that it should be opened directly
the landing page is very dull while the main pages are quite good.for some reason the fonts and the images looks blurred .7/10
it's good but when you click on link you must wait, that is not good. You can work on that.. People don't love when they must wait.
