Is OSCommerce Good For Selling Templates/Themes? If Not What Is?

    I have very little knowledge of OSCommerce, I've download it.

    I hoping to setup a theme/template shop and was wondering if OSCommerce could do the job?

    It says it can handle digital goods.

    Anybody actually use this for it? I'd like to see a real working template store.

    Can't oscommerce do digital downloads 'out of the box'?
    I know there used to be a contribution called Download Controller, but I thought it was all built in these days.

    Yes, you can use OsCommerce for that purppose.

    Yup it does do it out of the box but I didn't know if it would be great for templates.

    Thanks for the info.

    I guess I can alter the description to include whatever I want. Can the description contain HTML or php or is can it only handle text?

    sorry if the question sounds dumb. I just haven't played with it yet.

    I think you can use basic html in the description. Have a look at the oscommerce site for more info, I'm sure there's heaps of people selling templates via osc.

    It should handle the job with ease, for a more detailed response you may be better trying the osc forums
