I was reading a thread in another forum yesterday and someone was explaining how Adsense works. Here is what the had to say:

    1. Setup an Adsense account.
    2. Invite family and friends to click on them
    3. Make $$$$.

One even went as far as to say that they weren't making much cause their friends and family were out of town!!!

I didn't say anything for fear they would invite their family and friends to visit my website too - LOL!

Relax. Every subject doesn't have to be about making money. I thought fellow DPers might find it entertaining.

    That's ridiculous.

Adwords campaigners wouldn't find that funny at all.

They should be reported, that's very bad, because if they do that online, I wonder offline!

Is it THAT surprising to see this type of activity? It's not the first and won't be the last.

Maybe Google should reward informing them of majot TOS violations, not with money though.

When I saw this thread, I wonder whether Google employees use their own search engine to monitor this stuff, or are they all trawling for pr0n on Google images?:D :p

Roman1 - That is HILARIOUS! Well......not really. It's costing adverstisers money. As a possible future Adwords advertiser - i certainly don't appreciate it.

One of the people on the chat was in the same industry as me so my ads will probably end of on her website and I will pay a fortune for non-interested parties clicking my links.

Do any of you use Adwords?

Just block the site in your AdWords control panel.

Ah - Brilliant. I don't have an Adwords account so I didn't know you could do this.

    Thanks!
