    Why google index of my backlink is less than yahoo.

    Is google indexing less pages than yahoo??

    GOOGLE DOES NOT CARE FOR LINKS WITH LESS VALUE LIKE NO FOLLOW???

    google only shows a sample of the total backlinks and yahoo shows a larger sample.

    If you sign up for Google Webmaster tools you can see your backlinks:
    www.google.com/webmasters/
    G has their own reasons I guess for only showing a sample of backlinks to the general public.

    It's because google any yahoo are different search engines. Google doesn't tell you about all the links they have found on the link: search.

    If that were true it wouldn´t be showing me 7 pages from my own same site as backlinks plus one more page, a post on a board I post as my only 8 backlinks.

    Mind you, my site is 4 years old and has many backlinks, including some nice quality ones, all of which are quite a bit older than two pr updates.:confused:

    google does shows all of the backlinks with link:sitename.com search.

    you can see all of your backlinks at google webmaster tool panel

    I can see only ~400links in there. If, I check with yahoo...I can see ~10.000

    And Unlike yahoo,google actually update backlinks in certain time intervals. Yahoo shows backlinks anyday, but good does it before Page rank update.
