    With your requirements and thinking about the future prospects I would go for drupal cms. It has all the features to build a site and can be extended with blogs and forums.

    blog is nice for small project.. and site is for large.. as well as.. blog is meant for simple controling... like its ismple article with images.... but with site any cms or any custom u can get better options...

    We want
    (*) VISITORs INTERACTION
    (*) IMAGE PRESENTATION

    At the same time, and i hope blog is good to start with minimal efforts.
