Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

My friend told me 4 out of approximately 37 of the data centers are reporting changes in his PR rank.When it finally comes, it will be here...

These days --no calculation is working with Google.
I saw sites ( well not saw but my own site) --get PR6 with a single no-follow PR7 link ( I spammed a high PR blog

I also saw sites getting PR3/4 with lots of PR6/7 links from donation pages --here and there.

So.......

 

I knew it wasn't you right away because of all the green rep you have. Your red rep against me probably would be worth more than -2 points. So anyway, it's all good. When I posted that I was wondering if some people might miss the sarcasm. All the discussion of the value of PR and why people are so anxious about PR updates is inspiring me to create a blog entry about PR.

Yes --there are some people who read SEO articles written by SEOs. But even you or me can claim to call ourshelves SEO experts and write articles. recently I have started to counter them --( my feed says all) --most of them are nothing but gimmicks.

And people believe them blindly.

Where-as the truth is --all they write is on theories/guestimation --without authoritative proofs.
So I have asked PR haters to keep silent --otherwise provide authoritative proofs that PR means nothing. I won't accept crap SEO articles --because SERPs & PR is not determined by SEOs --but by Google. So I have to keep 100% faith in Google.

Please let me know when you write your blog post on PR.

 

Since I'm watching my SEO Quake-Bar and the symptoms are the same (like previous PR updates), in the next week, I believe, Google will Finish with PR results...

 

That would be great i can't wait to see what they will give to me this time

Maybe but just maybe jhnrang should check his URLs before posting that. If he would have done that, we could all see that it's not a bug and nothing is changing...

To explain it for you, you forgot the last slash in the URL and the URL without slash doesn't have a PR-value...

 

well here i see that all the 72. D/Cs are updating PR for all the pages which didn't have pr before.

i have seen other pages in idk getting pr also... only the ones which didn't get pr before.

Looks like early phase of update

 

I can also see these changes there as some DC's are showing PR 4 for this very category, anyhow none of my sites got updated as yet!

Thanks, you're right, my bad. I actually saw that, and then forgot. There is a bug where DigPagerank will return PR NA if the page isn't cached on that particular DC, but that is another issue.

Because I have got a lot of incoming link since the last PR update in April and still no increase in backlinks and PR in any of the Google DC

 

Yep its another issue but not 'bug'.

 

The last PR was at the very end of April and the first few days of May. So my guess is that it will take place during the last few days of July and first few of August.

Remember page rank updates all the time during the month and once a quarter they publish the updates to the toolbar engines that display it to people. But real page rank is updated all the time.
