What do folks think of the AdSense placement on the homepage of http://www.freehosting300.com ? I'd be interested in hearing any thoughts.

    Thanks in advance! :)

It looks like its just been dropped on to the page. It doesn't fit in with the template and looks too much like an advert.

Do you have a suggestion for improving it? I would like to integrate it more, if possible.

One or two of the red areas would be the best spots.

    How do you mean?

And what browser are you using? In FF2 and IE7, it displays fine.

use a square ad unit under "Welcome to freehosting300.com Hosting". i see that you are using a small one there.

i think your most valuable place is there

EDIT: For some reason i've seen your site without the actual template.

Basically, your ad placement is quite good. Your CTR should be pretty good.

    What do you mean?

Awesome! This is what I was hoping to do! I took the ads of of users' pages so that there would be more benefit to them - and want to include more on our site. Hopefully, this will achieve that!

I feel like you need to blend the ads in more. The background color of the ad block sticks out a bit too much.

Which ad block are you talking about? I have all of them matching the background color of the page. Can you explain more about what you mean?

I'm using firefox, and the block on the right has a grey-ish background but I just noticed there's more than just ads on that block. So maybe it's okay, but it does make the ads stick out a little more and not blend in. But the ad placement is pretty good!

I think it was meant to be grey :p

Anyhow, this is almost exactly the same way i integrate my adsense on my websites. The CTR is quite awesome, i'd say :)

Oh, Ok. Yes, the right side is light blue, and the left side is grey. Do you think it looks bad? Should I change it, perhaps?

Sweet! Hopefully, I'll be getting clicks, then. I don't want users to think those are the links to the service, but I do want to help subsidize the service!
