I own a soccer site. I use the Google Adsense plugin (For wordpress). After the end of each article, I put the adsense code. An assho**l uses my feed to get my unique articles on his soccer site, and therefore, my google ads shows on his pages. I'm just worried that he does stuff on his site that violates Google Adsense TOS and I get banned. i search for a contact form on his site and I couldn't find it, no e-mail as well this is his damn site : http://real-madrid-news.com He is stealing my content and also wants to get my adsense account banned. What I gotta do guys ? Thanks
That's why I have the <more> operand after the first phrase in my posts. when they steal my RSS, they only get the first sentence.
As dan already stated if you use the <!--more--> command when posting article - it will force the reader to click the link to read the full article. Just add it after the first sentence or paragraph. I would also contact Google too, just to ensure they are aware of the situation.
A little off topic, but using the <!--more--> button will also help reduce duplicate content. WordPress is full of stuff that grinds out dup content.
thats stupid, complain to google, have their site shut down lol, or deindexed and banned - google will listen about this because it can cause u problems later
put links to your other posts in your posts, that way he will be put off scraping your site becuase it will have links to your site.
errr.. excuse me, but isnt this good ? your ads showing on his site, in a way, u earn money for the clicks ur ads get on his site ?
Lol.. If the person who stole your content is doing nothing against the adsense TOS u will be making more money through adsense , but I would still contact google just in case.
I use the more tag and also this: login to WP and click on OPTIONS click on READING then go to SYNDICATION FEEDS tick off SUMMARY Don't let them take the Full Text. I've been told it might be redundant to use both the more tag and check off summary but I am not sure.
John Chow uses a plugin which you can add text to RSS feeds saying the content is stolen unless you are reading it from an RSS reader and to contact him. Regarding the code, are you sure it's the same PID as your adsense account? Each time this happens to one of my sites they just steal the actual content from an rss feed, but do not use my adsense ID.
I already use the more tag, however, I use another plugin that produce a full rss feed, as I hate to force my readers to come to my site instead of reading full articles from my RSS.
