Disney becomes the first major studio to ban smoking in all of its family-oriented movies. Its can be called as a good move but would it really have effect, even if other movie companies follow them ? .
I am happy that they decided to do that. I dont smoke and its not fair to non smokers to get cancer due to second hand smoking.
Well it is a lucky thing that i don't smoke. The last time i smoked was in y6 when i smoked a barking. For those unaware of the practice of smoking barkies, it is when you pick up a peice of bark off the ground that curled into a cylindar shape, much like the shape of a ciggarette. You lite one end and puff on the others. Smoking however makes the world go round. If people didnt smoke, individuals would be saving lots more money, and the prices of houses would go up. By having smokers, you are channeling money from the masses and directing it to a company of individuals. One person with a lot of money is less competition that 1000 people with average money.
29th March 2004 the Republic of Ireland became the first country in the world to ban smoking in all enclosed work places, which is pretty much everywhere. Dirty disgusting habit.
Why would family oriented movies have the smoking anyway? that's like saying that SpongeBob will be the first cartoon that promises not to mention recreational drug use the good 'ol days: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6MPkRMfzzaY
That's good move. disney suppose to have lot of children. Smoking definitely not suitable to be there.
Well, I don't see a problem with that if they're doing it for their family films. It's good PR. Disney has a reputation to uphold
Hmm smkoing is bad But smokers have rights toi hate when a place hasen't a place vwhere to smoke ....
Exactly, with the way kids immitate movies, it's obvious smoking shouldn't be in any disney movies... If they try to bad it more and more, I wonder what the bad guys will be doing instead... http://www.webmd.com/Smoking-Cessation/news/20050808/movie-bad-guys-more-likely-to-light-up
