    I'm not sure why you want a 2002 domain, but while google grandfathered older domains from the sandbox, a old domain will still get sandboxed like a new domain name if the domain changes ownership. If you buy a developed site, the sandbox will not apply - at least if you keep the theme the same.

    That's probably why you're not geting any domains. Add an extra zero to that and you'll get a lot more sellers.

    hmm, adding a zero is way beyond the scope of the idea i want to use the domain for.

    I can now even accept a domain registered till december 2003.

    If someone has held onto a domain for 2-3 years, it is because it has value. I can't think of an instance where someone would have one laying around for that time period and be willing to give it away for $40

    Crud!!! Why didn't you post this just a week ago??!! I just cancled about 20 two or three year old domains that didn't go any where!! You would pay $800 for them, right??!!! If so I'll try to get them back, since they can't be registered again until the experation date!

    1999 x1
    2000 x1
    2001 x1
    2002 x5
    2003 x7

    but not for 40$ LOL

    some of these would be in the $xxxx.xx range, especially the 1999
