    Ok,
I've been watching this domain for years...

It's been my dream since 2002, but has been registered since 1996...

I looked it up today (for the first time in years), and it says it's expiring next march...

I tried godaddy backorder one time, with no luck...

I'd pay big money for this domain...

I heard pool.com was good, but does anyone know the best way to aquire it? pool.com+godaddy backorder?

I'm stoked that it's expiring so soon (hopefully he won't renew, fingers crossed!)

try sedo.com if the domain is parked on sedo , or make a bid for it.

If you're serious about getting it I would try pool.com, but if it's next march then the owner has a lot of time left to extend the domain registration.

Yeah. If the site isnt being used, you have a greater chance, but if its worth something or likely to be, then the owner is probably sitting on it. He'll get his nice little e-mail reminder about it in Jan and probably upgrade.

Good luck with it tho, I got a nice expired domain recently.

It's not parked... It's nothing... "The connection has timed out"...

I know... And he's had it for 9 years... But I'm hoping he forgets or something...

Yeah, I've been wishing I owned it for 5 years...

It's a great 7 letter, 2 word .com that I could develop into something awesome... Instead of putzing around with 3 work 10 letter domains...

First check and see if the domain registrar where the name is registered at has an auction site. If it does expire it will first go to auction, then if nobody bids on it a backorder can capture it. Your best bet is to place multiple backorders on the domain name through multiple registrars. This will increase your chances of getting it immensly.
SnapNames.com is pretty much the best in the industry at catching names that expire. Pool is also very good. Enom has one called clubdrop as well.

I'm also in the same boat. It expires Aug 27th 07. Not very popular though. So I don't want to spend 60 on pool.com. It says tucows registered however.

Does anybody know how TUCOWS works. Do they have an auction.

    Thanks,
    ivnj

Yeah, I know it's premature, but I've been wanting this one for years...

At first glance, it doesn't seem like a GREAT domain, but it's brandable and perfect keywords for the niche...

    I'm stoked....

PS... I've tried e-mailing offers, never a response...

Expiring in March 2008 is another 8 months away! Most probably the domain won't drop if the owner has been renewing it every year. If you're interested in it, you might want to try contacting the owner directly to see if they're interested in selling.
