Interesting enough, my site which has a huge number of pages +20k just got deep crawled by Google and am now showing in excess of 18,000 pages indexed on Google, yet my weight is sitting at 4152. The DP backlink checker is only showing 1260 indexed pages.

Can anyone or the powers that be (thats probably Shawn et al), shed some light on to the differences and secondly estimate what weight would be appropriate for such large site with a PR4?

    thanks in advance!

It is my understanding that unless a link is cached it does not count toward weight.

There are a large majority cached, and also the PR alone should help. I had one site go from 1000 with 0PR to 0 with 3PR

    Hi Shannon,
Thanks for that tidbit of info. It is interesting that the coop looks for cached pages for weight. I guess I'll have to sit back for another 2 years for google to deep crawl, re-index the site and cache the pages. I guess I better get on making a G sitemap and uploading the baby to help G along.

    Thanks
    Frank

I always figured that counting cached-only pages was to ensure the person isn't cloaking and not giving SE benefit to the coop links.

I was just looking at Google tonights and saw some listings that were listed as supplemental. These pages were cached. It may be supplemental results that do not count toward weight. I am confused and am sorry if I gave incorrect info. Shannon

No worries, I have re-validated a few times and my weight has risen from 0, however not as high as I expected, but much better than 0
