Credit Card Processor, charges like PayPal

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by InfiniteTech, Jul 19, 2007.

    Hey

I'd like to know if there was any credit card processor on the Internet which had similar charges as that of PayPal.

In other words... what I am looking for is a Internet Merchant Account and a Virtual Terminal Provider which charge me on % (upto 7% is okay with me) basis of the total transacted amount, rather than the regular fashion of setup fee + monthly fee.

    Anyone, any clues?

Try 2checkout.com, moneybookers maybe. Look for 3rd party processors. Some may have setup fees, but these should be one-time, and most are somewhat reasonable.

What country are you in? That would help us out to help you out. Have you checked with your local bank(s) as well since that might be able to offer you a merchant account with an electronic payment gateway that comes with a virtual terminal

    I am in India.

Okay a setup till $50 is okay with me (no 2CO, please) but some companies charge outrageously. They think new customers are some kind of money generation dickheads, well for me I just want a normal, simple, clean processor and pay the same way too.

I don't mind not having any fraud detection service at that processor level, as I have 2 services currently which provides me protection. I am currently using both MaxMind and Varilogix Premium Services.

    Anything more?

I am not sure if Payquake accepts Indian clients, but I have heard good things about their service. It might be worth checking them out.

All these are known to me. PayPal doesn't act as a complete CC processor. They do not accept CC from so many different countries.

Google Checkout is only for the US, not for International, specially Indians (or non US/EU/UK countries).

Protx and Authorize.net/Cybersource are electronic payment gateways. Protx favors the UK region while Authorize.net/Cybersource favors the United States (merchants).

It is possible to get an Authorize.net/Cybersource gateway if you are not in the United States, but first you need a US processor. Authorize.net/Cybersource tends to favor US merchants for the most part unfortunately.

For international users whose country is not supported by paypal, moneybookers and egold is the best option to choose from.

Moneybooker, eGold and most others you know are not Credit Card Processors, they are just the online money transaction places.

I need a Credit Card Processor who doesn't charge me a setup fee + no flat monthly fee. Billing me should be like PayPal/eGold/Moneybookers, that means... % of the total transaction.

Moneybookers is the best option since you don't want to pay a set-up fee.

Moneybookers are NOT Credit Card Processors. They process credit cards using CitiBank's terminal. Your CC statement will say... "MoneyBookers" not "MyCompanyName". Get the difference?
