    Hi everyone, I have just released this new directory a few minutes ago! I have to admit that I am having a lot of fun providing a way to better help webmasters such as myself who want to acheive a higher PR and traffic, and it is very cool to wake up and see that I have a hundred new submissions to validate into my directories :) Not to mention all of the great friends I have met through this site and my directories. So I decided to create a new free directory onto my highly seo optimized funender.com domain:

    NP Blagger, I have also edited that message to provide more info as well. That is to prevent people from submitting every site to the main category.

    Welcome to the wonderful world of directory management. I've just added a few but looking through the directory I've already got a query?

    Why is there a UK specific site listed in business/real_estate/ when surely it belongs in regional/europe/?

    Also the Main Link Directory Categories for Business points to the domain and not to the folder. Minor, but threw me for a second.

    Because it's a real estate site, and nearly all directories will list it that way. Just because a site is from the UK, doesnt mean it shouldn't go under the most appropriate category. Anyway, there is a Worldwide option on the site for property listings too.

    Your site huh? Have I got you in my property investment directory? haven't had a chance to check...

    I guess when I'm looking at directories and submitting 2 sports sites which are city specific I like them to go in regional but that means they're not in a sports category and I wonder if they are harmed by that. On the other hand users looking for sports info won't want them in the international part because the content won't apply to them.

    It's a trade off and one of the missions with a directory is deciding when to accept the category someone has submitted to and when to move them - and potentially keep moving them as the directory grows. After all there are times when it's hard to think of the UK actually being part of Europe (now you can shoot the kiwi :))

    Nah, I like the Kiwis. And sometimes I wonder whether the UK is in Europe, lol.

    On the odd occasion, my site would be placed in a regional category, but I tend to add it to subject category, as it's most obvious for searchers, and probably best in seo terms for the bots to read text related to that subject.

    Anyway SarahK, I'll check your site later, I'm off to bed now.
