Videos are definitely going to expand. Maybe as the internet connections speed up, we'll get higher quality videos uploaded ;)

    Hey 8everything,

    I agree totally.

You guys know all those giant 20 page salesletters? Mark my words. In 3 years they won't exist. Completely gone. You will see something like this following layout...

    Headline Here
    ________________________________
.................................................
.................................................
.................................................
.................................................
.......................Video...................
........................Here...................
.................................................
_______________________________

    - A little Intro

    - Product Explanation

    - Benefits/Features

    - Order Form

    The above will replace them.

This is a sign that video will be king, + Google is coming out with a technology that will take all videos and turn them into crawable content. So your all video pages will be able to rank high in the big G.

Dave, you've hit the nail on the head when you said, "It is really going to be highly targeted video advertising..."

Yup, anything video is extremely hot right now, and will stay that way for a long time.

I've been quietly using video content, and sales have never been better. I just came out with a new video tool that increases an optin list fourfold.
It's a floating video message with a subscribe form underneath...killer.

This was predicted a long way back in time. Michel Fortin wrote about it in his "The death of the sales letter"

Well, whether a good idea or not, I think it's all about mobility advertising.

Eventually, when I walk into a Walmart, or a small coffee shop, with my PDA/cell phone at my side. The stores are going to recognize these devices and start advertising to me in some 'inventive way'

Possibly will start as a tourism initive, so if I visit a new state or country, my phone/pda will automatically suggest things to do / places to visit and evolve from there.

At least that's what my crystal ball tells me..though it's a bit hazy and it may need repaired ;-)

Actually the ads are already set to go, and the tourism idea has got to be done already, I should think.
    How could it not?

    Haven't seen it myself yet.

I figure it will be some sort of 'deal' for my cell phone/PDA. Eg: I get it for free as long as I allow companies to send me ads based on my current location via GPS, or some local Wifi connection

If it does exists, please let me know, I'd like to join it's affiliate program :)

Its all about the user or consumer nowadays.
Create something which creates and it goes viral and makes you money in no time.

That's true, it's just a matter of "what" to create that is the key. :D

Content is great, as someone else stated. You could allow adsense revenue sharing on pages where someone created content or allow them links - all like they do on designersplayground.com.

This way you have your content and your own community in which you can communicate, email, etc. If it is all external, you'll dry up after you stop promoting and your site will still have only the content you created.

In short, get the world to work for you rather than constantly chasing them...
