I'm happy for my visitors to install it, but personally I wouldn't use it. Many anti-spyware programs will remove the Alexa toolbar as spyware.

I'll stick with searchstatus, I don't like toolbars, but a little thing that tells me my alexa rank, my page rank and my compete rank in the statusbar is barable, plus it contributes towards alexa :)

I have another extension that shows me only the alexa rank for that page so maybe it's less spyware.

good to see alexa with firefox! just installed and it is working fine.
don't worry about the spywares etc, i don't think alexa will misuse the data that they collect!
anyways am not a fan of toolbars, i don't even have google toolbar! so naturally, the tested and uninstalled!
    cheers:D

This would explain my recent drop in Alexa ratings. I blame Sparky for me falling from the top 100k *mutters*

I'm sticking with searchstatus as well... I have enough of a problem with the Alexa bar in IE let alone trying to make it work (and clutter up) my FF.

Another vote for SearchStatus - been using it for a long time now and its a very convenient tool. It gives you quite a bit of information on the site you're viewing.

I installed it yesterday at home on version 2.0.0.4. In work I today upgrade Firefox on 2.0.0.5 and after this upgrade I recognized that it is impossible to install toolbar on this version because for this version is not supported

I'm testing this as well on firefox. My question is does it work the same as it does on internet explorer? Does it still record the stats from people who visits sites using fire fox?

Seoquake is verygood but I still use search status. There is only two addon in my firefox (exclude google toolbar).

pagerank in search status is more accurate than google toolbar when you open many tabs

Some say this will make the alexa rankings shift artifically.

I say this will actually make them a bit more accurate since it really will count visitors with both IE and FF. FF visitors are real visitors too yanno :D

Agreed. It may not benefit all of us but it should improve accuracy. It may actually make Alexa rankings significant. :)

    Regards,
