Seriously. I had been using Google like everyone else until Matt Cutts wanted everyone to report each other selling paid links. That was the last straw, and so I decided to try Yahoo! and Live for searches. I must say, Yahoo! is great for searching. Their index has gotten much better, and I almost always find what I need. Live.com sucks for everything except their image search. Live.com by far has the best image search engine out of Google, Yahoo, and Live. Anyway, I'm sick of Google datamining everything I do for their marketing spyware and intrusive ads. Luckily Yahoo! is a great search engine, and after 3 months of using it as my default search engine I can safely say that it is equal to, and in some ways superior to Google.
yahoo is making big improvement to catch the google . its site explorer tool is being better day by day but i think yahoo is trying to catch google but google finding new thinks
I don't know. Seems to me all Google has been doing lately is buying companys like DoubleClick and Feedburner so that they can continue to build their huge datamining and market research databases. Google used to be very innovative, but as of late, all they seem to do is buy out companies. Reminds me of Microsoft in the late 90's.
I definitely agree with you buddy. Yahoo search is indeed top dog. I always instantly find what I need when I use it. And I love the "Also try" searches they come up with. And they're not trying to screw us with the whole "paid links" thing. Google has created quite a mess. I have never used Live image search. I will have to try it now. Thanks for the suggestion.
Google warned they were going to be penalizing for selling / purchasing paid links a while ago. If you are still using these to inflate your SERP(s), that is your own fault. What happens if Yahoo! does this next? You going to switch back to hotbot?
I just can't accept this. Buying and Selling links is such a big part of developing and monetizing a site. I will just stick my head in the sand and pretend google did not do this.
yahoo is your best search engines just because you don't want to buy links? The bosses are not webmasters but the searchers. Searchers are still using google and I don't think they even know anything about paid links ,etc.
I also agree that Yahoo is getting better than google, results are almost always relevant.. maybe it's because spammers and BH seo are mostly targeted to google.
I think generally Google better than the others. Bu sometimes when I couldn't find true result that time I prefer Yahoo.
They could do with a decent free analytics package, something at least as good as Google analytics for me to bother paying them serious attention,
